Vivian (and the late Myron) Finkel & Matthew and Angel Teats are relieved to announce the marriage of their children Bess & Christian. The couple met while attending LSU Engineering College. Bess Finkel and Christian Teats were engaged in August, in a duck blind in Lafitte, while the groom's father shot their limits. Join us for this blessed event amid the beautiful fall foliage - solve the mystery and win a weekend for two. NEW YEARS IN VERMONT
(December 31, 2010 - January 1, 2011)
Spend your day skating, skiing, getting pampered in the Waters Spa or just relaxing and get ready to ring in the New Year. The New Years Eve Package features a lavish hors d'oeuvres reception followed by a gala dinner buffet. Non-stop entertainment includes the Phil Abair Band with our house DJ keeping you dancing during the breaks. LAKE MOREY WINTERFEST - Winter Skills Weekend

Come join fellow winter enthusiasts for a weekend designed just for you. Learn the basics of winter camping, build a snow shelter, make your own emergency snowshoes or try your hand at ice fishing. Classes subject to change and some restrictions apply. Winterfest Package includes two-nights lodging, choice of two winter skills classes on Saturday, and admission to the Lake Morey Winterfest Sunday.

2nd ANNUAL VERMONT POND HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIPS
(January 28 - 30, 2011)
Time to lace up your skates for a little "old-time hockey" in the crisp winter air. With friends and competitors cheering you on and the smell of barbecue filling the air - now this is ice hockey the way it is meant to be played. After a day spent on the ice, join us for live entertainment, food and refreshing beverages. The Lake Morey Resort invites you and your teammates to enjoy the four-on four Vermont Pond Hockey Championships. All teams will play at least three games, plus more if you make the "medal round".

SKATE VERMONT 2011
(February 11 - 13, 2011)
NORTH AMERICAN MARATHON CHAMPIONSHIPS (Saturday & Sunday) This is a weekend to celebrate the lake, ice and all things winter. The resort is excited to be hosting the 2011 North American Marathon Championships, a US Speedskating sanctioned event and a MSI Cup event attracting top athletes from the United States and Canada. The 25K & 40K marathons will take place on the maintained 1K oval track just a few steps from the resort. Skating Workshop - whether you are a newcomer to the sport or an accomplished skater looking to improve your technique you are encouraged to attend a free instructional workshop on Saturday morning, February 12. Taught by a certified USS coach the workshop will include indoor "dry land" instruction before moving outdoors to try the 1K oval track. In addition to the marathon racing there will be recreational skating for all ages and abilities.
TASTE OF THE LAKE (Saturday)
Join us for the 2nd Annual Taste of the Lake, a progressive culinary competition along the Lake Morey Skate Trail. Local restaurants compete for the top spot and cash prizes. A portion of the proceeds from the Taste of the Lake are donated to the Upper Valley Trails Alliance. This weekend will feature entertainment, food, a night-glow skate and lots of ice.

LADIES GET-A-WAY WEEKENDS

For all those ladies who deserve a weekend away. The package includes lodging, dinner and breakfast daily, entertainment, welcome reception, souvenir gift, exercise classes, cooking classes, scavenger hunt, movies, bingo, art classes, wine tastings, mixology classes and a whole lot more. Cancellation Policy
If you cancel a reservation at least seven days prior to your arrival date, we will gladly apply your deposit to a future stay within one year of cancellation. If you cancel within seven days of your arrival date, you will forfeit your deposit.
