Winter Activities

On any given winter morning or afternoon, you can look out over Lake Morey from the Resort grounds and see people of all ages taking advantage of the snow and ice! The lake is a great source of fun all winter long. There are always opportunities for seasonal activities such as skating, sledding, snow sculpting, ice fishing, and sleigh rides. During choice weekends, there’s also marshmallow roasting and live music!

Ice Skating ~ Opening Mid-January
The Lake Morey Resort maintains the longest skating trail in the United States, a 4.5-mile loop around the lake. It’s an amazing experience that’s not to be missed. Directly in front of the resort we maintain up to 16 smaller rinks for skating and pick-up hockey games.  Skate rentals are complimentary for Lake Morey Resort guests.

If it’s alpine skiing you prefer, the Dartmouth Skiway is located just 15 minutes away. There are many other ski areas nearby as well, such as Burke Mountain. Being so close to Route 91, you’ll be able to get to them easily for a full day of skiing.
